The Bridge
IRIDA have worked with The Bridge for more than five years now.

The Bridge, based in Florence Italy, was established in the early sixties. They began as a small handicraft workshop, and have grown over the years into a company that knows how to blend tradition, style, and craftsmanship.

The Bridge has an intelligent use of old processing methods with traditional handicraft wisdom.

The Bridge have developed a close relationship with the tannery Il Gabbiano, which has allowed them to maintain both the quality and consistency of the skins used in the manufacture of their products.

The full grain hides used are skillfully treated and tanned using animal fats and vegetable tans.
No harmful chemical substances are used, and the hides are coloured using wool buffers that are passed repeatedly over each hide by hand. An amber roller is then passed over the hides. A unique process which brings out the natural beauty of the leather with depth and shine.

The metals used are made from solid brass which are pressed in exclusive The Bridge moulds. They are then polished by hand, giving them a brilliant shine.

Over the years all this has made The Bridge a much sought after brand which is treasured the world over.
